Dual integrals in small strain elasticity with body forces (Q2478122)

The authors derive dual integrals of configurational mechanics based on the complementary energy for the case of small strain elasticity with body forces. The relationships with energy release rates are established for various classes of defects. The proofs are straightforward. All expressions greatly simplify in the absence of body forces and also in special cases where these forces are homogeneous functions of a certain degree in the coordinates.
