Semi-invariant lightlike submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold (Q2480074)

The authors study submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold. A submanifold is called \(r\)-light-like if the induced metric on the submanifold is degenerate, where \(r\) is the dimension of the intersection of the tangent space \(T_pM\) and \(T_pM^\perp\). This intersection is called the radical distribution. The authors use the product structure \(P\) on the surrounding manifold and the notion of a screen distribution to introduce the definition of a semi-invariant submanifold and investigate the properties of such submanifolds.
