The author claims the making of a computer program able to retrieve the dates and chronology of particular events from the earliest periods of Chinese history, mentioned on bronze wares and other archeological artifacts (by using the Chinese sexagesimal system for the continuous enumeration of days) from the mythical Xia dynasty, Shang-Yin and Zhou dynasties. As the author explains, this project is not an individual realization but on the contrary a large scale research program of national interest, launched in 1996 by the Chinese authorities. Since then, much has been written on the subject. As it is, however, the present article is not very useful because it does not allow its readers to determine whether the program in question has been publicly published somewhere or not. Moreover, its bibliographical items are very difficult to retrieve because they are systematically translated into English, even the name of the publishers, rather than being stated both in their original language and English.
