The author investigates the existence of solutions to the problems \[ Adx/dt= Bx(t)+ f(t),\quad x(0)= x^0\text{ and } d(Ay)/dt= By(t)+ f(t),\quad y(0)= x^0, \] with \(A: E_1\to E_2\) a closed linear operator of Fredhoim type and index \(0\), where \(E_1\) and \(E_2\) are some Banach spaces, \(x^0\in E_1\), \(B\in L(E_1, E_2)\), \(t\in R_+\), \(f: R_+:\to E_2\). The operator \(A\) is assumed densely defined in \(E_1\). Four existence theorems are stated in the paper, usually without the uniqueness property, under various sets of hypotheses. Integral representations of solutions are also obtained, based on the formulas similar to those of variations of parameters (or semigroups).
