Consider the linear differential system \[ x'= A(t)x,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^n,\quad t\geq 0,\tag{\(*\)} \] and the perturbed system \[ y'= (A(t)+ Q(t))\,y,\quad y\in\mathbb{R}^n,\quad t\geq 0,\tag{\(**\)} \] where \(A(.)\) is a bounded piecewise continuous matrix with \(\| A(t)\|\leq M< \infty\) for \(t\geq 0\) and \(Q(.)\) is a piecewise continuous matrix satisfying the condition \[ \int^{t+1}_t\| Q(\tau)\|\,d\tau\leq C_Q< \infty\text{ for }t\geq 0, \] where \(C_Q\) is a constant depending on \(Q\). The highest exponent of \((**)\) is denoted by \(\lambda_n(A+ Q)\). The number \[ \Lambda({\mathcal M}):= \sup\{\lambda_n(A+ Q): Q\in {\mathcal M}\} \] is called the sharp upper bound on the mobility of the highest exponent of \((**)\) with perturbations of the class \(\mathcal M\). The following result is established: If the function \(\varphi(t)\) is monotonic increasing to \(\infty\), then \[ \Lambda(L[\varphi])= \varlimsup_{m\to\infty} m^{-1}\ln \eta_m, \] where the sequence \(\eta_m\) is determined by the recursion relation \[ \eta_m= \max_{k< m}(\| X(m, k)\| \varphi^{-1}(k)\eta_k), \] \(k,m\in N\), with arbitrary initial condition \(\eta_1> 0\), where \(X(.,.)\) is the Cauchy matrix of \((*)\) and the perturbation class \(L[\varphi]\) is formed by piecewise continuous, integrally bounded matrix functions \(Q\) satisfying the condition \[ J(Q):= \varlimsup_{t\to\infty}\, t^{-1}\int^t_0 \varphi(\tau)\| Q(\tau)\|\,d\tau= 0, \] where \(\varphi(t)\) is a piecewise continuous positive function on \([0,\infty)\).
