Let \(G\) be a finite group, and let \(F(\Aut(G))\) be the Fitting subgroup of the automorphism group of \(G\). The following theorem is proved: Some element of \(F(\Aut(G))\) acts fixed-point-freely on \(G\) if and only if \(G\) is Abelian of odd order or is isomorphic to the direct product of the Kleinian four-group by some Abelian group of odd order.
