This erratum corrects an error in the proof of the main theorem of the author's earlier paper [\textit{M. Asakura}, Invent. Math. 165, 267--324 (2006; Zbl 1138.19001)]. As a replacement for part III of that proof (p. 310) which is incorrect, the author proves the following result: If, as in the original paper, \(K\) is a finite extension of \({\mathbb Q}_p\) contained in a cyclotomic extension \({\mathbb Q}_p(\zeta)\) and \(r\neq 1\), \(r \in {\mathbb Z}\) then the natural map \[ \lim_{\rightarrow} H^1 (F, {\mathbb Z}_p (r)) \to H^1 (K, {\mathbb Z}_p(r)) \] where \(F\) runs over the subfields of \(K\) which are abelian extension of \(\mathbb Q\) is surjective if \(p \geq 3\) or \(p = 2\) and \(\sqrt{-1} \in K\) and in general has finite cokernel. \(H^*\) here denotes continuous Galois cohomology.
