    The author studies steady radial solutions of the form \(u(x,t) = -c^2 t + v(r)\) of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation \[ u_t + \nabla^4 u + \nabla^2 u + \tfrac{1}{2} | \nabla u |^2 = 0, \] in the space \(x \in\mathbb R^d, \;d=2,3.\) The function \(v(r)\) satisfies the equation \[ \left(D^2 + \frac{d-1}{r}\,D\right)\left(D + \frac{d-1}{r}\right)y + \left(D + \frac{d-1}{r}\right)y = c^2 - \frac{y^2}{2}, \tag{1} \] where \(D = \frac{d}{dr},\) and \(y(r) = \frac{dv}{dr}.\) As \(r \rightarrow \infty,\) this equation approaches the one-dimensional limit \[ y''' + y' = c^2 - \frac{y^2}{2}. \tag{2} \] In this paper, the author deals with solutions of (1) that tend to periodic solutions of (2) as \(r \rightarrow \infty.\) Both hyperbolic and elliptic periodic solutions are considered. The proof uses the Poincaré map.
