The paper focuses on the nonlinear Volterra integral equation of the second kind, \[ y(t)= x(t)+\int_0^tk(t,\tau) f(y(\tau))\,d\tau, \] with \(x(t)\) bounded for all \(t \in [0,1]\), \(| k(t, \tau)| \leq M\) for \(0 \leq \tau \leq t \leq T\), and \(f(y)\) Lipschitz continuous with \(| f(y)-f(z)| \leq L| y-z| \). Two Adomian polynomial representations (one programmable) are stated. Section 2 introduces a sufficient condition which guarantees a unique solution and discusses convergence of the Adomian decomposition method. An estimate of the maximum absolute truncation error of the Adomian series solution, \(y(t)=\sum_{i=0}^\infty y_i(t)\), is obtained in section 3. The paper concludes with an illustrative numerical example to support the newly established results.
