Let \(\mathcal F\) be a family of meromorphic functions defined in a domain \(D\) of the complex plane. \(\mathcal F\) is said to be normal in \(D\), in the sense of Montel, if for any sequence \(f_n\in \mathcal F\) there exists a subsequence \(f_{n_j}\), such that \(f_{n_j}\) converges spherically locally uniformly in \(D\), to a meromorphic function or \(\infty\). As a main result of this paper, the author proves the following theorem: Let \(\mathcal F\) be a family of holomorphic functions in a domain \(D\) and \(k\geq 2\) be a positive integer, and let \(K\) be a positive number. If, for each \(f\in \mathcal F\), \(f\) and \(f'\) share fix-points (counting multiplicities), and \(| f^{(k)}(z)| \leq K\) whenever \(f(z)=z\) in \(D\), then \(\mathcal F\) is normal in \(D\). An example is given to show the sharpness of the theorem.
