The authors consider the MS system (1) \(i\partial_t u= ({\mathcal H}(A)+ \phi)u\), \((S\text{ equation}) -\Delta\phi- \partial_t\text{div\,}A= |u|^2,\;(\partial^2_t- \Delta)A+ \nabla(\partial_t\phi+ \text{div\,}A)= J(u, A),\) where \((u,\phi, A): \mathbb{R}^{1+3}\to \mathbb{C}\times \mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}^3\), \({\mathcal H}(A)= -(\nabla- iA)^2\), \(J(u,A)= 2\text{\,Im}(\overline u(\nabla-iA)u)\). Since (1) is invariant under the gauge transform \((u',\phi',A')= (\exp(i\lambda)u,\phi- \partial_t\lambda, A+\nabla\lambda)\), they study the time local well-posedness for the following three systems with the initial value \((u_0, A_0, A_1)= (u(0), A(0),\partial_tA(0))\in H^s\oplus H^\sigma\oplus H^{\sigma-1}\), \(s\geq 3/5\), at \(t= 0\): (MS-C) (1) in the Coulomb gauge \(\text{div\,}A= 0\): S eq., \(\phi(u)= (-\Delta)^{-1}|u|^2\), \((\partial^2_t- \Delta)A= (1-\nabla\text{\,div\,}\Delta^{-1})J(u, A)\). (MS-L) (1) in the Lorentz gauge \(\partial_t\phi+ \text{div\,}A= 0\): S equation, \((\partial^2_t- \Delta)\phi= |u|^2\), \((\partial^2_t- \Delta)A= J(u, A)\). (MS-T) (1) in the temporal gauge \(\phi= 0\): S equation with \(\phi= 0\), \((\partial^2_t- \Delta)A+\nabla\text{\,div\,}A= J(u,A)\). Theorem. There exists \(T> 0\) such that (MS-C) has a unique solution \((u,A,\partial_t A)\in \mathbb{C}([0,T]\); \(X^{s,\sigma})\), under the condition \(\max\{4/3, 2-3,(2s- 1)/4\}\leq \sigma\leq\min\{s+ 1,(5s- 2)/3\}\), \((s,\sigma)\neq (5/2, 7/2)\), \((7/2, 3/2)\). If \(\sigma\geq \max\{(s- 1),(2s+ 1)/2\}\), \((s,\sigma)\neq (5/2, 3/2)\), \((u_0, A_0, A_1)\in X^{s,\sigma}\to (u,A,\partial_t A)\in \mathbb{C}([0,T]; X^{s,\sigma})\) is continuous.
