The authors study the spectral properties of operators with two-point Bohr spectrum by using the representation theory of locally compact Abelian groups. Firstly, the authors provide examples of operators with such spectra. Furthermore, the structure and existence of the inverse of such operators is discussed. This result is subsequently refined with estimates on the diagonals of the inverse operator being provided. Finally, the authors formulate invertibility conditions in terms of the exponential dichotomy and probe its application to the theory of difference and differential operators. This is accomplished by using techniques from the spectral theory of linear ordered pairs and linear relations.
