    The authors prove two results: Theorem: Let \(S \subseteq M_3(\mathbb{C})\) be an irreducible semigroup such that \(1 \in \sigma(s)\) for every \(s \in S\). Then \(\text{det}(s) = 1\) for every \(s \in S\) and \(S\) is conjugate to a semisubgroup of \(\text{SO}_3(\mathbb{C})\). Moreover, either \(S\) is a finite group or isomorphic to \(\text{Alt}_4\), \(\text{Sym}_4\) or \(\text{Alt}_5\), or the Zariski closure of \(S\) in \(M_3(\mathbb{C})\) is conjugate to \(\text{SO}_3(\mathbb{C})\). Theorem: Let \(S \subseteq M_4(C)\) be a semigroup such that \(1 \in \sigma(s)\) for every \(s \in S\). Then \(S\) is reducible.
