Completion of an orthogonal projector and a related inverse mapping problem (Q2484492)

A real matrix completion problem to orthogonal projections is investigated, and some formulas and/or approximation algorithms are obtained. Given \(X\) and \(Y\) real \(n\times k\) matrices, the problem of when there exists an orthogonal projection \(A\) such that \(AX=Y\) holds, and description of the solutions, is also considered.
