In this paper the authors evaluate the Fresnel integrals (FIs). The series expansion for FIs is useful for their evaluation at low \(x\) values (\(| x| <0.05\)) and their asymptotic representation at high \(x\) values (\(| x| >5\)). The expansion in terms of Bessel functions for FIs is used at intermediate \(x\) values. For the last case, they used an algorithm to evaluate the Bessel functions of fractional order of the first kind. The procedure is based on the continued fractions method and it does not require any recalculation using normalization relations. Moreover the above algorithm is compared with others for evaluating FIs.
