The extended Jacobi elliptic function method to solve a generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV equations (Q2484773)

The authors extend the Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method. This method is more powerful than the method proposed in earlier papers. A generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV equation is chosen to illustrate the method and six families of new Jacobi elliptic function solutions are obtained. When the modulus \(m\to 1\), some of these obtained solutions degenerate as solitary wave solutions.
