The most significant part of the paper consists in the construction of optimal circulant operators and super-optimal circulant operators. A hybrid operator is also considered. A subsequent convergence analysis of optimal and super-optimal preconditioners in solving the first kind hypersingular integral equations is also carried out. A wealth of numerical results is reported and evaluated.
