    Let \(J\) be a Jacobi matrix given by \((a_n)\), \((b_n)\), where \(a_n> 0\), \(b_n\in\mathbb R\), \(n\geq 0\). Given \(x= (x_n)\subset\mathbb C\), \((Jx)_n= a_{n-1}x_{n-1}+ b_nx_na_{n+1}x_{n+1}\in\mathbb C\), \(n\geq 0\). This defines a maximal operator \(T_{\max}: D(T_{\max})\to l^2\), where \(D(T_{\max})= \{x\in l^2: Jx\in l^2\}\). Also, a minimal operator \(T_{\min}\) can be defined. The authors showed that the Krein and Friedrichs extensions of \(T_{\min}\) may be explicitly characterized by boundary conditions as \(n\to\infty\).
