The author investigates a nonconforming finite element on tensor product grids applied to diffusion-convection-reaction equations with dominating convection. This element can be considered as an enriched parametric \( Q_1^{\text{rot}}\) element (Rannacher-Turek) element. One shows that the enrichment of the parametric \(Q_1^{\text{rot}}\) element by a nonconforming quadratic bubble leads to a scheme with the following features: the second order supercloseness and the second order superconvergence properties hold, an additional control of the cellwise averaged streamline derivatives of the error is obtained.
