The involved proof of the following theorem is given. If \(\lambda\) is a singular cardinal with uncountable cofinality and \(\lambda\) is not the limit of Jonsson cardinals then there is a function \(F:[\lambda^+]^2\to\lambda^+\) such that if \(\{s_\alpha:\alpha<\lambda^+\}\) are disjoint sets with \(| s_\alpha| <\text{ cf}(\lambda)\) and \(\gamma<\lambda^+\) then there exist \(\alpha<\beta\) with \(F[s_\alpha\times s_\beta]=\{\gamma\}\).
