From 2-dimensional surfaces to cosmological solutions (Q2487260)

Exact solutions to the Einstein equations are constructed for perfect fluids in spacetimes with two Killing symmetries. The equations are reduced to a single equation for the conformal factor of the 2-metric on the surfaces which are invariant under the action of the Killing vectors. In the case of non-tilted fluids, i.e., fluids where the velocity is not parallel to the timelike Killing vector, the equation can be integrated in terms of quadratures.
