The paper describes a homogenization problem deduced from the observation of a micro-organism. This infusoria can be considered as a perforated domain with highly oscillating boundary. The authors consider an uncoordinated structure. They model the behaviour of this infusoria as \(\Delta u_{\varepsilon }=f\) in the complicated domain, with Robin type boundary conditions on the boundary of the inner holes and on the outer boundary with appropriate scalings of the corresponding coefficients. In order to describe the limit problem when the size of the inner holes goes to 0, they use the Murat-Tartar compensated compactness procedure. They first prove estimates on the solution and then combine classical tools already available either for the homogenization of perforated domains or for reinforcement situations.
