    The author considers two problems for the integro-differential equation \[ \frac{\partial x(t,s)}{\partial t} = c(t,s)x(t,s) + \int_{S} k(t,s,\sigma)x(t, \sigma)d\sigma + f(t,s), \] where \(S\) is a set of finite Lebesgue measure in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). The first problem is the Cauchy problem with initial condition \(x(t_0,s)=x_0(s),\) and the second problem is the boundary-value problem with \(S=[-1,1]\) and the boundary conditions \(x(a,s)=\varphi(s),\, 0 < s \leq 1,\, x(b,s) = \psi(s),\text{ and } -1\leq s < 0,\) where \(s, \sigma \in S,\, t \in T =[a,b],\) the functions \(c(t,s),\, k(t,s,\sigma),\, f(t,s),\, x_0(s),\, \varphi(s), \text{ and } \psi(s)\) are given functions measurable on \(Q = T \times [-1,1],\, Q \times [-1,1],\, Q,\, S,\, [0,1],\text{ and }[-1,0],\) respectively, and all integrals are understood in the Lebesgue sense.
