The article is devoted to the derivation of the Navier-Stokes transport coefficients of a granular binary mixture in \(d\)-dimensions. Exact expressions of the following transport coefficients are obtained: mutual diffusion, pressure diffusion, thermal diffusion, shear viscosity, Dufour coefficient, pressure energy coefficient, thermal conductivity. The transport coefficients are derived by means of the Chapman-Enskog method from the Boltzmann equation for inelastic Maxwell models (IMM), where the Boltzmann collision operators include effective collision frequencies. The effective frequencies are fitted such that the cooling rates of IMM are the same as for the inelastic hard spheres (IHS) in the local equilibrium approximation. In order to derive the Navier-Stokes transport coefficients, the reference homogeneous cooling state for a mixture of inelastic Maxwell gases is analyzed. The Chapman-Enskog method is used to solve the Boltzmann equation near the homogeneous cooling state. Then, the exact expressions for the mass flux, the pressure tensor, and the heat flux are obtained in the spatial gradients of the hydrodynamic fields. From this the authors derive the exact expressions relevant Navier-Stokes transport coefficients. Moreover, a comparison of the results with the known transport coefficients of IHS obtained analytically in the leading Sonine approximation and by Monte Carlo simulations is carried out.
