The stationary solution of the nonlinear Boltzmann equation for Maxwellian molecules and hard sphere in a Couette flow between two coaxial, rotating cylinders is studied analytically. The axially and circumferentially uniform boundary values (the Maxwellian ingoing boundary conditions were studied) and the solutions for hard forces are considered. The standard form of the collision integral with Grad's cut-off restrictions is analyzed. The case without external forces is considered. The collision operator was taken in a weak form with a test function and an angular cut-off were studied. The main result of the paper is the construction of the \(L^2\)-solutions of the Boltzmann equation using an asymptotic expansion on the Knudsen number \(\varepsilon\), and the bifurcations problem is solved. A splitting of solutions into interior Hilbert expansions and boundary layers is demonstrated. It is shown that the boundary scaling is larger than \(\varepsilon^4\). The proof of the asymptotic expansion for a hydrodynamic part of the solution is given.
