Equivalents to Ekeland's variational principle in uniform spaces (Q2488265)

In the first part of this paper the author establishes a minimal element theorem on sequentially complete uniform spaces and there are also given two equivalent formulations of this theorem. Next, it is argued that Fang's variant of the Ekeland variational principle is a direct consequence of the minimal element theorem. In the last part of the paper there are given several applications to functions with values in locally convex spaces.
