The authors use the theory of \(H\)-splines to obtain near-best quasi interpolants. The three directional mesh is applied on hexagonal support of the plane. The obtained interpolants are exact on some space of polynomials. They minimize an upper bound of norms depending on a finite number of parameters. It is shown that the given problem has always a solution, generally not unique. The theory is supported by nontrivial examples.
