Let \(R = \bigoplus_{\alpha \in \Gamma} R_\alpha\) be a graded integral domain (graded by an arbitrary torsionless monoid \(\Gamma\)) and let \(H\) be the set of its nonzero homogeneous elements. A (saturated) homogeneous multiplicative set \(S\) of \(R\) is a (saturated) multiplicative set of \(R\) such that \(S \subseteq H\). For a (saturated) multiplicative set \(S\) of \(R\) let \(N(S):= \{ d\in R\mid d\neq 0\), \((d,s)_v =R\), for all \(s\in S\}\) and \(N_h(S):= \{ d\in H\mid (d,s)_v =R\), for all \(s\in S\}= N(S) \cap H\). Then \(N(S)\) is called the m-complement of \(S\) and it is a saturated multiplicative set of \(R\), hence \(N_h(S)\) is a saturated homogeneous multiplicative set of \(R\). A homogeneous multiplicative set \(S\) of \(R\) is called a homogeneous splitting set if \(SN_h(S) = H\). In this paper the authors study when \(H\) is a (\(t\))-splitting set of \(R\) and investigate the class group of a graded integral domain \(R\). One of the main results obtained here is a decomposition of the class group of a homogeneous Krull domain \(R\): If \(S\) is a homogeneous splitting set of \(R\) then Cl\((R) = \) Cl\((R_S) \oplus \) Cl\((R_{N_h(S)})\).
