The aim of the present paper is to study Borel ideals in three variables. The structure of the paper is the following: In section 2 there is fixed the notation. In section 3 there is introduced and studied the Borel subsets of the multiplicative semigroup of terms in \(P(n)\). Here, the main goal is to illustrate some of Borel subsets features and to give a `general construction' in order to produce Borel subsets of assigned cardinality in each degree. Section 4 deals with Borel ideals \(b\) contained in \(P(n)\). To every \(0\) -dimensional such ideal \(b\), generated in degree at most \(s+1\), it is associated an \(n\) by \(s+1\) matrix with non-negative integral entries, called sous-éscalier sectional matrix. In the last section, for each \(h=(1,n,h_{2},...,h_{d},...,h_{s})\) with \(n\) at least \(3\), there is introduced first an equivalence relation on the set of \(0\)-dimensional Borel ideals of \(P(n)\) corresponding to \(h\). Then, a partial order on the associated factor set is defined, which endows it with a poset structure, some features of which are studied.
