    The authors compute integral moments of partial sums of the Riemann zeta-function on the critical line. The main result reads as follows: Let \(k\) be a positive integer, and let \[ a_k= \prod_p \Biggl(1-{1\over p}\Biggr)^{k^2} \sum^\infty_{j=0} {d_k(p^j)^2\over p^j}, \] where \(d_k\) denotes the usual divisor function. Moreover, let \({\mathcal P}_k\) denote the convex polytope in \(\mathbb{R}^{k^2}\) define by the following inequalities \[ {\mathcal P}_k= \Biggl\{(x_{ij})\in \mathbb{R}^{k^2}\mid x_{ij}\geq 0;\,\sum^k_{i=1} x_{ij}\leq 1;\, \sum^k_{j=1} x_{ij}\leq 1\Biggr\}. \] Then \[ \lim_{T\to\infty}\,{1\over T}\int^\infty_0 \Biggl|\sum^X_{n=1} {1\over n^{{1\over 2}}+ it}\Biggr|^{2k}\,dt= a_k\gamma_k(\log X)^{k^2}+ O((\log X)^{k^2- 1}), \] where \(\gamma_k= \text{vol}({\mathcal P}_k)\). Some generalizations are stated as well, for instance the one concerning \[ \lim_{T\to\infty}\,{1\over T} \int^\infty_0 \Biggl|\sum^{X_1}_{n=1} {1\over n^{{1\over 2}}+ it}\Biggr|^2\cdots \Biggl|\sum^{X_k}_{n=1} {1\over n^{{1\over 2}}+ it}\Biggr|^2\,dt. \] The paper contains many interesting remarks on the following related subjects: moments of the Riemann zeta-function, random matrix theory and pseudomagic squares.
