It was shown that for odd high dimensional simple knots and for even high-dimensional knots, doubly slice knots coincide with algebraically doubly slice knots. This result is not longer true for classical knots. In [Topology 22, No. 3, 241--252 (1983; Zbl 0523.57020)], \textit{P. M. Gilmer} and \textit{C. Livingston} showed that there exists a slice knot which is algebraically doubly slice but not doubly slice. High-dimensional analogues of this result were obtained by \textit{D. Ruberman} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 279, No. 2, 569--588 (1983; Zbl 0531.57017)]. In this paper, the author gives a bi-sequence of new obstructions for a knot to being doubly slice. This allows him to have new examples of algebraically doubly slice knots that are not doubly slice, and many of these knots are slice. He also shows that some classical invariants are reflected at the initial levels of this bi-filtration and obtains a bi-filtration of the double concordance group.
