In this paper a two-distribution lattice Boltzmann equation algorithm is proposed for solving the time-dependent and steady laminar diffusion flames within the context of the Burke-Schumann flame sheet model. An incompressible model is obtained if the linear deformation of the fluids is neglected in the derivation of the lattice Boltzmann equation. Numerical simulations are carried out to reproduce the flicker frequency of the buoyant jet diffusion flame.
