Applying the fixed point theorem of Darbo type and using the techniques associated with measures of noncompactness, the authors study the existence and asymptotic behaviour of solutions to the nonlinear quadratic integral equation: \[ x(t)=g(t)+f(t,x(t))\int_0^{+\infty}K(t,s)h(s,x(s))\, ds,\quad t\geq 0, \] which is a generalization of several kinds of quadratic integral equations.
