The paper investigates results related to the generalization of strong laws of large numbers for the case of independent fuzzy random sets. The authors consider uniformly integrable fuzzy random sets taking values in the space of upper-semicontinuous fuzzy sets in \(\mathbb R^d\), and obtain a generalization of the strong convergence for weighted sums of independent random sets [\textit{R. L. Taylor} and \textit{H. Inoue}, Stochastic Anal. Appl. 3, 379--396 (1985; Zbl 0575.60003)]. A certain concept of independence for fuzzy random sets is introduced, and further weaker conditions for this result to hold still remain to be verified.
