Efficient continuation Newton-like method for solving systems of non-linear equations (Q2489331)

A Newton-like method which allows singular Jacobians in some points is presented for nonlinear systems, and global convergence is also achieved by a continuation variant. The paper thus extends some earlier univariate results to systems. Numerical examples illustrate the advantage of this method compared to the standard Newton method.
