Lift of the Finsler foliation to its normal bundle (Q2489753)

\textit{E. Ghys} in [Appendix E: Riemannian foliations: Examples and problems (1988; Zbl 0633.53001)] has posed the question (still unsolved) whether any Finslerian foliation is a Riemannian one? The authors prove that the natural lift of a Finslerian foliation to its normal bundle is a Riemannian foliation for some Riemannian transversal metric. The methods used here are closely related to those used by \textit{M. Abate} and \textit{G. Patrizio} in [Finsler metrics -- a global approach, Lecture Notes in Mathematics. 1591 (1994; Zbl 0837.53001)].
