The main aim of the paper is to prove that in characteristic 0 the Lie superalgebra functor \(G\mapsto\text{Lie}(G)\) gives an equivalence between the category of unipotent algebraic affine supergroups and the category of finite dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras. In the ungraded case this is a result of Hochschild, but the proof in the paper under review is new and purely Hopf algebraic. One of the ingredients of the proof is a characterization of Hopf algebras \(H\) that are hereditary as coalgebras by the fact that any inclusion \(H\subseteq C\) of left \(H\)-module coalgebras with \(\text{Corad}(C)\subseteq H\) splits as an \(H\)-linear coalgebra map. The authors also give a description of the global dimension (as a coalgebra) of a finitely generated commutative Hopf algebra in characteristic 0.
