    The author proves that the positive equilibrium \(x = 1\) of the difference equation \[ x_n = \frac{x_{n-1}x_{n-2} + x_{n-3} + a}{x_{n-1} + x_{n-2}x_{n-3} + a}, a \geq 0, n =0,1,\dots, \] is globally asymptotically stable.
