Tight estimates on the number of real solutions of a system of multivariate polynomial equations are welcome, since standards bounds based on Bézout's theorem or their refinements by Kouchnirenko and Khovanskii are generally not tight enough. In this paper, the authors describe particular classes of polynomial support (the set containing the exponent vectors of the monomials) for which they can derive improved (and sometimes tight) upper bounds on the number of real solutions.
