The paper determines all maximal regular subsemibands of the semigroup of all singular mappings on an \(n\)-chain \(X\). For \(n\geq 5\) (small \(n\) are exceptional) there are two types but all cases include the ideal of all mappings of defect at least 2. In case (A) we have the semigroups \(A_k\) which also include all mappings of defect 1 that fix the point \(k\); case (B) semigroup \(B_{ij}\) includes all mappings \(\alpha\) of defect 1 such that \(i\alpha\neq j\alpha\). The number of maximal regular subsemibands is \(n(n+1)/2\) (\(n\geq 5\)) and the cardinality of the semigroups \(A_k\) and \(B_{ij}\) are also recorded.
