The paper is concerned with the non-existence of positive solutions to a singular integral equation of the form \[ u(x)=\int_{{R}^N} \frac{g(x,y,u(y))}{| y-x| ^\sigma}dy \] where \(\sigma\) is a positive constant. Under various conditions on the function \(g\) it is shown that the integral equation has no positive solution.
