\textit{F. Cardoso} and \textit{G. Vodev} have proved weighted \(L^2\)-estimates for the resolvent of Laplace operators on asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds in [Ann. Henri Poincaré 3, No. 4, 673--691 (2002; Zbl 1021.58016)]. The ends of \(M\) are assumed to be of product type \((1,\infty)\times Y\), equipped with a warped product metric \(dr^2+e^{2r}h(r)\), where \(h(r)\) is asymptotic to a fixed metric \(h\) as \(r\to\infty\). The weights are of the form \(r^{-s}\) with~\(s>1/2\). In the present article, similar estimates with respect to different weights are proved, which are better adapted to the asymptotically hyperbolic geometry. These weights are given by operators~\(W_{-s}\) on~\(L^2(M)\) that depend on the Laplacian on the cross section~\(Y\) near the ends. For a fixed~\(s>1/2\), the operator~\(W_{-s}r^s\) is unbounded.
