Let \(f\) be a meromorphic function in the plane, and let \(g\) be an entire function such that \(f(z)\) is an integer whenever \(g(z)\) is a nonnegative integer. In [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 38, No. 2, 239--249 (2006; Zbl 1125.30021)] the author showed under certain conditions on the growth of \(f\) relative to \(g\) and the location of the finite number of poles of \(f\) that \(f\) has the form \(f= G\circ g\) with \(G\) satisfying \(\liminf_{r\to\infty}(\log M(r,G))/r= 0\). In the paper under review the author proves an analogue of the above result when \(f\) is allowed to have infinitely many poles.
