Higher regularity for free boundary and tangential derivative problems and global solutions to regular reflections for the unsteady transonic small disturbance (UTSD) equations (Q2492407)

This paper deals with the unsteady transonic small disturbance (UTSD) equation: \[ u_t+uu_x+v_y=0, \] \[ v_x-u_y=0. \] One can reduce this system in some self-similar coordinates into a degenerate elliptic equation \[ ((u-\rho)u_{\rho}+u/2)_{\rho}+u_{\eta\eta}=0. \] The author establish \(C^{2,\alpha}\) estimates for a general class of tangential derivative problems with a free boundary on a \(C^{1,\alpha}\) domain. Besides the author prove the existence of the global solution for UTSD equation and show that the solution is Lipschitz up to the sonic boundary and present \(C^{0,1}\) estimates near the sonic boundary.
