Inspired by \textit{M. Fečkan} and \textit{J. Gruendler} [J. Differ. Equations 165, No.~1, 123--142 (2000; Zbl 0965.34035)] the authors study subharmonic solutions for the singular coupled system: \[ \varepsilon\dot x=f(x,y)+\varepsilon^2h(x,y,t,\varepsilon), \] \[ \dot y=\varepsilon(Ay+g(x,y)+p(x,y,t,\varepsilon)) \] with a periodic vector field. Among others they assume that \(\dot x=f(x,0)\) has a homoclinic orbit \(\gamma\). The main result states that the system under consideration possesses subharmonic solutions near \(\gamma\times\{0\}\). Those correspond to solutions of a bifurcation equation which has been gained by a Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction.
