By means of a continuation theorem from the coincidence degree theory, the authors derive sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions of neutral functional-differential equations of the type \[ (x(t)-cx(t-\tau))''=f(x(t))x'(t)+g(t,x(t-\mu(t)))+e(t). \]
