A partial linear space is a non-empty set, whose elements are called points, provided with a collection of subsets, called lines, such that any two points are contained in at most one line and every line contains at least two points. A linear space is a partial linear space in which any two points are contained in a line. A graph (without loops or repeated edges) can be viewed as a partial linear space in which all lines have two points. A partial linear space is called proper if it is neither a linear space nor a graph. A group \(G\) is called almost simple if it contains a non-abelian simple subgroup \(S\) such that \(S \trianglelefteq G \leq \Aut(S)\). The author gives a complete classification of all finite proper partial linear spaces admitting an almost simple primitive rank 3 automorphism group.
