The authors study \(G\)-sets, which are a generalization of \(G\)-norms and help to characterize minimizers of non-differential regularization functionals. In the first two sections, they present an overview of minimizers of regularization functionals and some of the basic properties of minimizers. This is followed by the notion of slopes and \(G\)-values, where a series of theorems is presented and proved (sections 3 and 4). The article concludes by highlighting the links of this paper with the existing literature, and a useful list of relevant references.
