Artin groups, 3-manifolds and coherence (Q2493406)

Following work of \textit{C. Droms} [J. Algebra 106, 484--489 (1987; Zbl 0692.05035)] and \textit{S. M. Hermiller} and \textit{J. Meier} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 136, No. 2, 141--156 (1999; Zbl 0936.20033)], we show that the Artin group \(A\Gamma\) associated with a labeled graph \(\Gamma\) is a \(3\)-manifold group if and only if each component of \(\Gamma\) is either a tree, or a triangle with every edge labeled \(2\).
