A function \(f:\mathbb{R}^{n}\rightarrow\mathbb{R}^{n}\) is called semi-monotone if for every \(x\in\mathbb{R}_{+}^{n}\backslash\{0\}\) there exists an index \(j\in\{1,2,\ldots n\}\) such that \(x_{j}>0\) and \(f_{j}(x)\geq0\). Given an open set \(\Omega\subseteq\mathbb{R}^{n}\), a function \(f:\Omega\rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{n}\) is called \(H\)-differentiable at \(x\in\Omega\) if there exists an nonempty subset \(T\) of \(\mathbb{R}^{n\times n}\) (called \(H\)-differential of \(f\) at \(x\)) such that for each sequence \(\{x^{k}\}\subseteq\Omega\) converging to \(x\), there exists a subsequence \(\{x^{k_{j}}\}\) and \(A\in T\) such that \(f(x^{k_{j}})-f(x)-A(x^{k_{j}}-x)=o(\| x^{k_{j}}-x\| )\). The main result of this paper gives a sufficient condition for the semi-monotonicity of an \(H\)-differentiable function \(f\) in terms of the semi-monotonicity of the elements of its \(H\)-differential at each point.
